5 Bats is a "Reel Power" slot which means in order to win, you need matching symbols scattered in at least 3 reels from left to right. Wild symbols are in reels 2, 3, and 4 just like Buffalo. Now the first difference I noticed: there aren't any stacked symbols! The second difference is that a progressive "Jackpot" is available if you land the special jackpot scatter symbols, one in each reel, with wild substitutions allowed! Even landing 3 will win you something, but they need to be left to right.

The bonus is also triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols left to right although sadly, landing more than 3 only results in a larger scatter award but not more spins. Upon triggering the bonus you must choose your number of spins, from 5 to 25, with 5 spins offering multipliers of 10, 15, or 20 and the 25 spins option offering 2, 3, or 5 multipliers. Interestingly, there is a "best choice" here, although it depends on the Jackpot level: if the jackpot is greater than or equal to 6266 credits, the optimal choice is to choose the 5 free games option else the optimal choice is to choice the 25 free games option.
